KUALA LUMPUR: Local contractors no longer need to queue up for tender forms as the Works Ministry launched its electronic tender management system (e-tender) yesterday. 

Works Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Zin Mohamed said with the e-tender, the entire procurement process from advertisement to evaluation could be undertaken automatically either online or through the use of CD-ROM.

"The electronic tender management system can improve the quality of information dissemination and also ensure that the procurement process is carried out transparently and with integrity.
