WILL the upgrading work carried our on certain stretches of the North-South Expressway be completed before Hari raya?.

That's the main concern of BASRI from Kuala Lumpur.

"My friend and I traveled from Air Keroh to Johor Baru. The massive upgraded along the way is slowing the traffic to a crawl," he says.

"The upgrading work does not seem like it is going to be completed before Hari Raya."

BASRI says it is unacceptable that Plus is carrying out its road expansion work so  close to the festive season.

"If a problem should occur, the repairs can last until Hari Raya.

"Why couldn't this job be done earlier, such as before Ramadan?"

" A SPOKESMAN for Plus says the thid-lane expansion is being carried out in Pedas-Linggi, while work at the other places have been completed.

He assured that al upgrades will be completed before the festive season.

He says that even the expansion in Pedas-Linggi is almost done and the public need not worry.

Plus has scheduled the upgrading work so as to clash with the festive season, he says.
