Testing Touch ‘ N Go System

PETALING JAYA: Rangkaian Pengangkutan Integrasi Deras Sdn Bhd (RapidKL) will be testing the Touch ‘n Go payment system at the Taman Paramount LRT station starting today.

RapidKL said commuters would   have to use the same Touch ‘n Go card to pay for the parking charges and when boarding the LRT  or RapidKL bus.

They would then only have to pay a maximum of RM3 per day for parking.

KUALA  TERENGGANU- The State Public  Works Department is investigating how the roof of a mosque collapsed in Chukai on Saturday morning.

PWD Kemaman engineer Mohd Rosli Daud said they had met the mosque’s contractor, Syarikat Tegak Wibawa Sdn Bhd.

“We began investigations following Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Said’s request for one,” he told the New Straits Times.

Tiada rancangan jual PLUS

KUALA LUMPUR-Kerajaan tiada rancangan untuk menjual pengendali lebuh raya bertol, PLUS Expressway Bhd, (PLUS Expressway,) kata Menteri Di Jabatan Perdana Menteri Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop semalam.

"Bagi pihak kerajaan, tiada rancangan untuk menjual lebuh raya bertol itu," katanya yang mengetuai Unit Perancangan Ekonomi (EPU) 
semasa menjawab soalan sama ada kerajaan telah menerima sebarang cadangan untuk melupuskan PLUS Expressway.

Safety team formed to inspect pre-war buildings

IPOH: The Ipoh City Council is setting up a surveillance team to inspect pre-war and colonial buildings, in the wake of the recent collapse of the buildings at Fair Park here.

State executive councillor Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon said the team would conduct checks upon receiving complaints from the public or requests from owners to have their premises looked at.
The team will comprise experts from the council and the Public Works Department (PWD), he added.

Lebuh Raya Lembah Klang (NKVE) menghubungi plaza tol di Klang dengan lebuhraya Utara Selatan.Pelawat dari Shah Alam, Subang, Petaling Jaya dan Kuala Lumpur boleh menggunakan Shah Alam expressway (Lebuhraya Kesas) untuk ke Klang Selatan. Selain daripada itu, jalan persisiran Pantai dari Banting dan Sepang (Selatan) atau Kuala Selangor dan Sabak Bernam (Utara) juga boleh digunakan untuk pergi ke Klang.
