THE LAUNCH OF QUALITY ENVIRONMENT PRACTICES (5S)

Kuala Lumpur – Ministry of Works’ (MoW) The Launch of Quality Practices (5S) held on 26 September 2011 at Seri Pagi Meeting Room, 11th Floor, B Block, Ministry of Works. The launching ceremony was officiated by Y.Bhg. Puan Sri Dato’ Zaiton Binti Mhad Ali, the Deputy Secretary-General (Operation). The ceremony officially shows that MoW gives full commitment in shaping 5S in ministry.
The implementation of 5S is a new method or minimum guideline to MoW employees from the aspects of cleanliness, neatness and safety to create a comfortable, neat and safe working environment. 5S practice concentrates on 5 steps starts with the first letter ‘S’ which was taken from Japanese language, Seiri, Seiton, seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke that means casting out, arrange, sweep, uniform, and always practice.
Y.Bhg. Puan Sri Dato’ Zaiton Binti Mhad Ali delivers MoW’s 5S Practice Guideline Delivery to all Division Secretary and head of Units.
