KUALA LUMPUR: The 50 sen toll on the highway at Gunung Raya in Langkawi will be abolished from tomorrow. 

Works Minister Datuk Mohd Zin Mohamed said this was decided at yesterday's cabinet meeting.

On the Penang Bridge, Mohd Zin said heavy vehicles would be barred from using it during peak hours daily from Aug 15. 

This is to ease congestion while the bridge is undergoing upgrading work.

It is expected to be completed by September next year.
