It's time to deliver in Kelantan, says PM | Kementerian Kerja Raya Langkau ke kandungan utama

PASIR MAS: The people do not want any more promises of development but instead want to see such promises become a reality, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

Abdullah said there were many projects planned for development in Kelantan and it was time for the plans to become something concrete.

"I know people want to see it, otherwise they will say Pak Lah is making up stories.

"That is why I am saying that I want things to happen quick, quick, quick," he said when speaking to flood victims at SK Gelang Mas here yesterday.

Abdullah, who earlier launched the new Jeli-Narathiwat bridge, said that among the projects in the pipeline were the East Coast Economic Region, the agropolitan in Kesedar and Kada, and the Kelantan University.

"We want the people to be involved in the agropolitan so that they can sell agricultural goods commercially and we want skills to be imparted to the anak Kelantan through the university."

Abdullah said he was aware that many Kelantanese went to Kuala Lumpur for education and work, but that this had to be changed, with skills training to be made available for the locals.

"All these efforts are done with the hope of eradicating hardcore poverty completely."
