PETALING JAYA: Heavy vehicles will be barred from using the Penang Bridge during the 6.30am-8.30am and 5pm-7pm peak periods from Aug 15. Works Minister Datuk Mohd Zin Mohamed said the move was to ease traffic congestion on the bridge.

Vehicles affected include five/six-wheeler Lorries, three-axle and four-axle Lorries, trailer and trucks.

Mohd Zin also announced that the 50 sen toll in Jalan Gunung Raya in Langkawi would be abolished effective tomorrow.
