KUALA LUMPUR: North-South Expressway concessionaire PLUS Expressways Berhad has come up with a traffic time-table to ease congestion along the expressway during the Merdeka holiday. 

Motorists from Klang Valley heading to Penang, Kedah and Perlis on Thursday are advised to start their journey between 2pm and 7pm while those ending their journey in Perak should push off from 8pm onwards.

On Merdeka Day, those heading to Penang, Kedah and Perlis are advised to start their journey between 6am and 1pm, while those heading to Perak from 3pm onwards.

On Sunday, city-bound motorists from Perlis, Kedah and Penang should start their journey between 10am and 2pm.

It is the same for motorists from Taiping, Kuala Kangsar and Ipoh while the suggested time for those from Tapah, Bidor and Sungkai is from 6pm and 8pm from Slim River, Behrang and Tanjung Malim.

Motorists can tune in to ERA, MY FM, Hitz.fm, LiteFM, SINAR, XFresh, THR Raaga and THR Gegar radio channel for the latest traffic updates which will be broadcast hourly from 10am to 10pm on Friday and a 30-minute interval from 12pm to 10pm on Sunday.
