Repair Work'ss on the collapsed road to Fraser's Hill cannot be carried out effectively as the slope is still active.

Officers from the Ministry of Works, who visited the site on Wednesday, told the ministry?s secretary general, Datuk Dr Adbdul Munit Kasmin, the grim news.

" I was told that the slope is still active and is prone to added landslides if not dealt monitor the situation closely before starting remedial work," he said.

Because of the instability, the Raub to Gap road was also closed. Visitor to the hill resort can still drive up via the old road from Kuala Kubu Baru.

"I am waiting for the full report from my officers to ascertain the damage to the slope and road condition," he said.
