SEPANG: The Works Ministry is studying a proposal on an alternative passage for Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP) users to ease congestion on the highway.

Its minister, Datuk Mohd Zin Mohamed, said yesterday the matter had been discussed with Plus expressways Berhad and that the proposal was being studied by the Malaysia Highway Authority and the Economic Planning Unit.

Speaking to reporters after opening the meeting of delegates of the Sepang Umno Division Wanita, Youth and Puteri wings, Mohd Zin, who is the division chief, added that an alternative passage was necessary as congestion at the Sunway toll plaza and Sungai Pencala had been categorized as "very bad".
