Gua Musang-Kota Baru road to open in 48 hours | Kementerian Kerja Raya Skip to main content

THE main road linking Gua Musang and Kota Baru Via Kuala Krai, closed since last week by a landslide at Km65, is expected to have one lane opened in 48 hours.

Gua Musang police chief Supt Ahmad Termizi Abdul Hag said the Public Works Department was working round-the-clock to make this possible.

"Once this is done, the department will shift its attention to the landslide at Bukit Meranto along the Gua Musang-Jeli route.

"We expect that road to be opened to all traffic soon," he said at Gua Musang yesterday.

Hr advised motorists coming to and leaving Kelantan to heed traffic police instructions as most roads in the State were likely to be congested in view of the year-end holiday seasons.

Thousands of motorists were stranded on Sunday when a landslide occurred at KM 47 of the Jalan Gua Musang-Jeli road. It was the second after an earlier one occurred at same location on Tuesday.

Motorists can use the East-West Highway from Gerik or exit through Terengganu.
