KUALA LUMPUR-Deputy Secretary-General (Development) of Work Ministry Datuk Dr Abdul Munit Kasmin has been appointed secretary-general of the ministry effective jan 27.
Abdul Munit takes over from Datuk Syed Jamal Syed Jaafar who goes on mandotary retirement on that date, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Seri Mohd Sidek Hassan announced in a statement here yesterday.
Mohd Sidek also announced the appointment of Public Services Commission Secretary Puan Sri Zaiton Mhad Ali as deputy secretary general (Operations) of the Works Ministry effective Feb 2.
Zaiton, 53, who has experience in human resource management, takes over from Datuk Asiah Marzuki who goes on mandatory retirement.
Director of the Training Division in the Public Service Department (PSD) Lamien Sawiyo has been appointed to take over from Zaiton as secretary of the Public Services Commission effective Feb 2.
Director of the Human Resource and Management Services Division o the PSD Datin Madinah Mohamad, 51, takes over from Lamien, also on Feb 2.
Madinah?s current position will be filled by Director of the Human Resource Management Unit of the Public Works Department, Amir Abdul Hamid, 53 on the date.
Mohd Sidek also said the Director of the Sabah Road Transport Department (JPJ) Md Yahaya Basimin has been appointed Penang Deputy State Secretary (Development) effective last Monday.
Yahaya, 52, takes over from Datuk Abu Hassan Shaaro who went on mandatory retirement on Jan 19.
