The MYJalan Application was developed by the Ministry of Works (KKR) to facilitate the submission and management of road-related complaints under ten (10) complaint categories, as follows:

The MYJalan Application adopts the “No Wrong Door Policy” to enable the registration and monitoring of complaints related to federal roads under KKR’s jurisdiction and the channelling of complaints to other relevant Government Agencies for roads under their responsibility. The application also provides access to notifications related to disasters, locations of accident-prone areas (blackspots), highway traffic views, and information on motorcycle shelter locations. This application is owned and operated by the Government of Malaysia.
Upon logging into the MYJalan Application, users may securely perform the following:
Your personal data shall only be used for matters related to road and infrastructure issues by the Ministry of Works (KKR) and other relevant Government Agencies. Generally, MYJalan may collect, use, and/or disclose your personal data for, but not limited to, the following purposes. You are deemed to have consented to the use of your personal data when you download and use the various features (modules) of the application.
a. To store registered user information and permit access to all function offered in MYJalan.
b. To facilitate the registration and processing of complaints (including voice-to-text complaints using Artificial Intelligence(AI)) and generate complaint scripts.
c. To store and manage complaints related to road issues under the ten (10) complaint categories.
d. To channel complaints to relevant Government Agencies such as the Public Complaints Bureau (BPA), Public Works Department (JKR), Local Government Department (JKT), Local Authorities (PBT), Highway Concessionaires, and other related agencies.
e. To transmit complaint data to the Public Complaint Management System (SISPAA) led by BPA, Local Authorities, or other Government Agencies for appropriate action.
f. To automatically capture users’ GPS locations for road mapping when lodging a complaint.
g. To generate reports and statistics.
h. To facilitate online services such as emergency hotline calls and CCTV traffic viewing.
Data is collected with the consent of users, voluntarily through, but not limited to, the registration process, submission of complaints, and contacting application support.

You are responsible for ensuring that the personal data provided, collected, and used by the application is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. Failure to provide correct or sufficient information may affect the functionality of MYJalan and could result in complaint rejection or restricted access to services. Users may also be subject to penalties under applicable Malaysian laws.
All personal data collected by the MYJalan Application shall be treated as confidential in accordance with this Privacy Policy and any applicable Malaysian laws. Complaint records and user data shall be accessed actively during the compliant resolution period and may be retained for up to seven (7) years and may be stored longer or permanently in the event of legal claims or enforcement actions.

Data in transit is encrypted, while data at rest is securely stored in protected servers. Personal data may be shared among the Ministry of Works (KKR), Public Works Department (JKR), Malaysia Highway Authority (MHA), Public Complaints Bureau (BPA), Local Authorities (PBT), and other authorised Government Agencies for service delivery. MYJalan may also share information with appointed service providers for operational purposes
MYJalan may collect anonymised information regarding device and operating system (OS) details to enhance performance and improve user experience.

d. Withdraw your consent for data collection, usage, or disclosure at any time.

Access to the MYJalan Application shall be granted only upon your agreement to this Privacy Policy. By using the MYJalan Application or any of its features, you acknowledgethat you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms herein and consent to the collection and use of your data for infrastructure management and public safety purposes.
This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time. In the event of significant amendments, users shall be notified via the MYJalan Application.
