KKR gets 5 Star Acknowledgement

Malaysia’s determination to promote the public sector to the international status and make it first class has become a reality with the introduction of the   Star Rating   System (SSR). SSR is one of the mechanisms to acknowledge the standard   of performance   of the public service in Malaysia. The acknowledgement system is implemented by the Malaysian Administrative Modernization   and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) since 2007.

 Through   SSR, every Ministry is assessed based on the following criteria:-

  • Organizational Management
  • Financial Management
  • Human Resource Management
  • Development Projects Management
  • ICT Management
  • Core Services
  • Customer Service

Since the SSR was introduced in 2007   KKR  always strives towards making it the best ministry.. In the first year KKR earned the second place with a 4-star rating, and   through strong teamwork and consistent efforts, KKR was accorded the 5-star rating. KKR is the first and only ministry to receive the 5-star rating. Eleven ministries received a 4-star rating and 15 ministries obtained 3-star rating. The acknowledgement was announced by the Chief Secretary to the Government on January 12 2009.
