Kuala Lumpur, 28 October- Ministry of Works (MoW) won third (3rd) place for Ministry’s Annual Book Report in conjunction of National Language Month 2011 at Hall 10, Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC). 
Selangor, 25 October - YB. Datuk Seri Shaziman Bin Abu Mansor, the Minister of Works visited Semenyih FT 001, Hulu Langat District to survey deepening congestion problem. Development in this area indirectly leads to a serious congestion problem. 
Kuala Lumpur, 21 October 2011- Y.Bhg. Datuk Thomas George, Secretary General of Works Ministry (MoW) retired from government services on 23rd October 2011. A meeting session with officers and staffs was organized at Tanjung Room, Kompleks Kerja Raya on 21st October 2011. 
Kuala Lumpur, 21 October – REAM (Road Engineering Association of Malaysia) organized its Grand Dinner 2011, “Safe Roads Save Lives” at Sime Darby Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur. 
Kuala Lumpur, 19 October 2011- Ministry of Works (MoW) organized Innovation Day 2011 at Tan Sri Mahfoz Khalid Hall. The function was officiated by Works Minister, YB. Datuk Seri Shaziman Bin Abu Mansor.
Kuala Lumpur, 18 October 2011- The Launching Ceremony of National Road Reference Center (PRJN) held on 18 October 2011. The ceremony was inaugurated by Y.Bhg. Datuk Thomas George, Works Ministry (MoW) Secretary General.
Pulau Pinang, 17 October 2011- The construction works of 24 kilometres long Second Penang Bridge (JPP2) is expected to be complete two months earlier than scheduled, which is September 2013. The construction works of the bridge costs 4.5 billion.
Melaka, 8 Oktober 2011- YB. Datuk Seri Shaziman Bin Abu Mansor, the Works Minister was awarded ‘Darjah Gemilang Seri Melaka (D.G.S.M)’ that brings ‘Datuk Seri’ title in conjunction of Yang Dipertua Negeri Melaka, Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob’s 73rd birthday. 
Johor Bahru – 29 September 2011, “The maintenance project of Segamat-Tangkak road expected to be start in November, 2011 with estimation cost of RM 750 million,” said YB. Dato’ Shaziman Bin Abu Mansor, the Works Minister to the media during his visit to the project site.
Kuala Lumpur – Y.A.B. Prime Minister, Y.A.B. Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Razak had a visit to temporary House of Representatives (Dewan Rakyat) and House of Senate (Dewan Negara) on 28 September 2011. House of Representatives meeting will be held in this until maintenance of the parliament building is complete.
